This image of Rhea was taken by the Voyager spacecraft at a distance of 1.7 million kilometers. Like SaturnΓÇÖs other satellites, Rhea is covered with impact craters and canyons similar to those found on Dione. Some craters have sharp rims, which suggest they may have been caused by recent impacts. Rhea was discovered with Tethys, Iapetus, and Dione in 1672 by Giovanni Domenico Cassini. It is 1,530 kilometers in diameter.
